About the Founder

My name is Anastasiia Kogan, and I’m proud to be the founder of Ladies of Smyrna & Vinings.

When I first moved to the U.S. from Poland, I faced the challenge many women know too well: building a community in a new place. Smyrna and Vinings were beautiful and welcoming, but as a newcomer, I felt the need for deeper connections—a place where women like me could feel at home. That’s why I started Ladies of Smyrna & Vinings.

What began as a small Facebook group has blossomed into a vibrant community of over 3,200 women. We’re more than just a social club; we’re a network of support, friendship, and opportunity. Whether you’re a long-time local or new to the area, Ladies of Smyrna & Vinings is here to connect you with like-minded women and create meaningful experiences.

As a mother, entrepreneur, and community builder, I’m passionate about creating opportunities for women to thrive. From my career in event design and photography to managing this growing community, I’ve always believed in the power of creativity and connection.

Before shifting my focus to this women’s community, I ran Kogan Events, a successful event planning and design company in Atlanta. My expertise in creating unforgettable experiences has played a significant role in shaping Ladies of Smyrna & Vinings, ensuring that every meet-up and event is curated with care and purpose.

Beyond my work in event planning and community building, I have a deep love for animals. My goofy dog, Niko, has been a huge part of my life, inspiring me to support local dog rescues. That’s why a portion of the proceeds from our events goes directly to local animal rescues. Giving back to the community doesn’t just mean supporting women—it also means helping the voiceless animals who need our care and love.

Building this group has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Watching strangers become friends, women finding new opportunities, and businesses growing through our support has shown me the power of a united community.
